ARISE LEBANON DTS WELCOMES YOU, Due to Covid 19 we Postponed the Program Till October 2021
To know God and Make Him known
Arise Lebanon Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a five-month YWAM program aiming to personally experiencing God and living the adventure of taking His message to the nations.
Apply the truth of God to life and be further equipped to fulfil your purpose. Learn what it means to be peace-seekers and how to transform conflict through the message of forgiveness and reconciliation.
DTS is an intensive, full-time program integrated into a live-learn environment consisting of two parts - lecture phase and outreach phase.
ENCOUNTER. EXPLORE. UNDERSTAND.
A DTS is not just about developing head knowledge, but heart knowledge as you grow closer to God. It is a great opportunity to get away from the noise and distractions of life and set aside time to consider your calling and engage with God’s heart for you and the world around you.
The beauty of Lebanon - its name originating from Lubnan meaning ‘white’ - is mainly found in its great variety. This small country, only 10,452 km2 in size, has an interesting diversity in history, culture, religion, landscape, climate and altitude.
Lebanon’s rich history and culture dates back to 3,000 BC, when the Phoenicians occupied Lebanese soil. Following these traders, the country has subsequently been inhabited by Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, Ottomans and more recently, the French. They all left their traces, from religious buildings to huge castles and citadels. After the first century, religion in Lebanon shifted from polytheism to Christianity and in 636AD, Islam was introduced by the Arabs.
Due to its alternation of lowland and highland, with the highest peak at 3,088 meters (Qornet es-Sawda), the landscape, climate, soil and vegetation differ markedly within short distances. As one of the most heavily wooded countries in the world, Lebanon is famous for its Cedar trees (Cedrus Libani), also the symbol of the country. Lebanon’s beautiful nature and natural reserves harbors a wide variety of animal and plant species and make Lebanon ideal for outdoor activities.
Lebanon is full of contradictions: freedom and imprisonment, poverty and affluence, prosperity and stagnation, defeat and hope. It is fascinating to experience the spirit and strength of the Lebanese, managing to maintain their positivity, generosity and warmth despite frequent upheavals. Without a doubt, the people of Lebanon will add to your experience and make your stay more memorable.
During your DTS you will have the opportunity to feel God’s heart for the lost and be a part of gathering, equipping and mobilizing the church to reach out to them. Your DTS outreach locations are strategically planned to directly tie in with achieving this goal.
START: 28th SEP 2021
END: 28th FEB 2022
LECTURE PHASE: $2,500
OUTREACH PHASE: $1,500
During lecture phase there will be teachers coming from all over the world to share their wisdom on different topics. This will include the Parent heart of God, Character and Nature of God, the Holy Spirit, Unity of the Church, Identity, Biblical Worldview and many more.
During the DTS you will also have time to explore how forgiveness and reconciliation intertwine with the Kingdom of God. Our approach to training is holistic - “live-learn” - recognising that learning and growth don’t just take place through lectures in a classroom, but also through serving, living in community, one-on-one discipleship, small group discussions and more.
You will also gain perspective on the many ways we can live our lives on mission, as influencers and activators in the realms of business, government, education, media, sports, arts & entertainment, and the Church.
The last 10 weeks will be all about putting what you've learned and grown in to practice during a cross-cultural outreach, to tell people of God's love for them!
As a team you will partner with local ministries and long term missionaries in that selected location. You will work with your team to bless local people and make God known wherever that is.
